Remove unused channels.
Get rid of all the clutter when not using all 16 faders. If I'm using 5 channels that's all I want to see.

Maybe the ability to hide unused channels like you can in Logic Pro.

i need only 4 channels - not more.
In Cubase and Logic you can simple hide or erase channels.
It would be very nice, when the DL 1608 have the same function in future - maybe with the next update? -

that which removing says -- or it is necessary to make it that which making it thin says, and the best interface
It should also consider a thing when displaying on the next.
Of course, the snapshot also of this information must be able to be carried out.
Please also consider and examine changing in the middle of music.
All the 16ch and the toggle button in the state where reverb etc. can be seen may say some area. -

Could also be useful to be able to reorder the channels displayed. Last night someone tuned up with a radio mic for about 5 minutes use, it really needed to be by the vocalist mics for those 5 minutes and ignored the rest of the gig...
As the radio isn't part of the normal setup there weren't even spare channels in the right place :(

I use the start-at-16 and work backwards approach and it works fine. As I only use the mixer live and have minimal interaction while I'm playing, IMHO, this is a nice to have, not a need to have.

Why not only show the ones that are "in use" or have something plugged into them. Anything else should not appear on the screen. You could have a "show all" button to show all inputs. simple binary toggle shows plugged in and all.

Gentlemen...
just rethink and adjust to the mixer at hand.
start at 16 and work backwards. If you only have 5 ch then they will be all together right there next to fx. cuts down on scrolling on all pages. Less important stuff is farther left, more important most used inputs are up at the right end. saves a lot of scrolling. trust me. -

This would be particularly useful in conjunction with DCAs and snapshots. Ideally I would like to be able to control the entire production with solo individual channels, DCA ensemble and orchestra channels, reverb and main outs all displayable on one screen.

Having used other digital desks in my studio, I find it beneficial just to reorganise the faders rather than hiding them. I simply just slide the ones I want to beside each other. For small really small gigs you could then just work of the first page of faders. I find it a little annoying that I have to scroll right to the end to mute/unmute the reverb.

Easy, you just touch the channel each side of the missing one and drag them apart and the missing ones re-appear. a pinch open gesture.
To hide a channel you just pinch the channels each side of it together and it vanishesOtherwise you could have a separate screen to enable/disable the display of the faders.

One interesting design problem - if you hide a channel, how you would get it back :-).

The physical channel numbers are always displayed on the top left of the "scribble strip" even if you add your own image, a preset image or a new label. It's very neat!!
I guess all we would need is to leave those indicator numbers showing the correct input.

Completely understand. I would still want each channel to say what channel they are on. If I only leave channel 1,4,5,9,11,16 then they should still say the channel in the label area. Or I can just call it whatever I want with the channel labeling option. Once it's set up and gains are correct it doesn't matter what they say.

The only note I would add to this is that if you remove channels and rename the ones you're using, it might be a smart idea to have the remaining channels still show what physical input they're controlling. Perhaps each channel could have a small number somewhere in the channel strip to show the input number, or maybe a semi-transparent number at the top of the fader channel?
I can see the usefulness of eliminating unused channels from view in the Master Fader app, but I can also see a possibility for confusion without some reference to the actual input jack.
