Channel Linking / Grouping
Please add the ability to link channels together. Stereo pairs are critical, but offering true multi-channel grouping would be amazing

I'm using a Yamaha LS9-16 in a custom forensic setup with a 4-channel adaptive filter and I need to be able to easily control the volume of each channel going to 4 separate amplified speakers and also mix down to stereo headphones. I can do this with the LS9-16 but it looks like with the DL1608 it would be unusable, as I'd have to use two aux sends and bounce between the two of them. So, I think it's a grouping function I'm looking for, where I can control each of the four channels separately on one interface, and also have my two headphone channels for a total of 6 output channels. Oh, and I'd need to be able to remove the other channels to de-clutter the interface.

Could you add a feature to chain 2 inputs, so once chained it acts as a stereo channel. I get 1 slider and changes to the single channel apply to the second channel automatically.
Seems like it would be easy enough, for every touch command you write the command to the DL16 twice, but I only have 1 slider to move ( on L-R, A1, etc) screen.
Maybe on the mixer screen you remove the second slider or change the color of the slider so the user knows they are chained.
I usually need this when mixing presentations. I have a DVD (video to projector) (audio to mixer), CD from customer (background between presentations), Powerpoint (video to projector) (audio to mixer) from computer. Any time I am taking in a stereo feed. it would be nice to have a single slider for the source. -

LINKING FOR INEARS and I will buy this thing!
I tried it last week while doing a gig, but not having the stereo link makes inear mixing almost impossible. This feature , together with output EQ link, will make me buy this thing.
Thanks

I'm kinda wondering about the relevance of uservoice. The vast majority out there (if this forum is a true indication) want channel linking/grouping, PEQ on all channels, and the ability to remove unused channels. Why is any of this more difficult than adding "Vintage" compressors etc.? Does anyone know?

How could Mackie even think we needed some kind of fake vintage compressor or whatever, before being able to link/group? This is ASTONISHING!

Perhaps a convenient way to engage this feature would be:
Triple tap on the fader engaging the link dialogue
Subsequent taps on faders adds to grouping
Triple tap to finish -

Forget about all other updates until you get this one happening! critical need to link normal channel faders as well as Aux sends for IEMs!
There's a GOOD REASON this feature has the most votes!!! -

This just appeared in my head. This is how it can look at the screen (ideas).
1.Tap and hold one slider, tap and hold another slider, move one finger to another. When a line or curve appeared, the channels are linked after the pop-up question which channel's setup should be used.
OR 2. Adjust color of a slider (another suggested option for Master Fader). Tap and hold the slider, move your finger to another slider. The setup of the first tapped channel should be copied to another one (including the color).
PS I bought DL1608 being sure that the linking will not be a problem. This option MUST be in this type of mixers! Please, do it as soon as possible. -

PLEASE PLEASE. Stereo IEM's aren't fun to mix when you can't link AUX's. Linking faders would be an amazing feature. I think the way that Auria does it (iPad DAW) is the best design I've ever seen. You can link as many faders together as you want, all over the board, whether they are next to each other or not. Please update this soon.

It is just necessary, absolutely essential... otherwise, you must duplicate the exact EQ, FX, etc on stereo channels

Stereo linking both for main mix faders and also for linking 2 auxes for stereo monitoring. If 2 main faders can be linked as a stereo pair, only 1 stereo eq could be used and making adjustments for both L and R sides would be a lot easier than dialing eq settings on 2 separate L and R screens. Same convenience for monitoring stereo sources if using a couple of linked auxes. Using a single stereo aux send for any mono or L-R input pairs.

No possibility of linking channels and subgroups in the Master Fader complicates the simultaneous operational control and is the reason for not buying a mixer for many professionals.
